About the Mobile Chamber

The Mobile Chamber is a private business organization with more than 1,700 members and the economic developer for the City of Mobile and Mobile County. The Mobile Chamber’s focus is to provide members with networking, marketing and professional development opportunities, expand jobs in the area, develop the local workforce, advocate legislative priorities and offer resources to help small businesses grow. The Mobile Chamber is the best support system for Mobile area small businesses. The Small Business Development department within the chamber of commerce is dedicated in helping small businesses grow and flourish within our community.


The Small Business Development team is constantly working hard to help entrepreneurs start, manage and grow. The department offers:

The Mobile Chamber offers one-on-one counseling with our business development navigator to help you get your business started. We’ll walk you through resources to help you grow and succeed.

Professional Development

The Mobile Chamber offers a variety of professional development opportunities to help your business start, grow and succeed.

Executive Roundtable

Attend the next Executive Roundtable meeting to learn information that will help manage and grow member businesses. Executive Roundtable is a monthly meeting open to all Chamber members featuring presentations by local business executives on timely topics affecting small businesses.

Growth Alliance Task Force

A part of the Small Business departments’ mission is supporting minority-owned businesses and participating in community outreach through programming such as The Growth Alliance Task Force. This program offers business resources and educational opportunities for our community.

The mission of the Growth Alliance Task Force is to enhance awareness and promote the growth of minority business enterprises through increased minority membership and participation in Mobile Chamber programs.

Small Business Awards

Small businesses play a crucial role in the Mobile area community and in its regional economy and the Chamber is proud to recognize their accomplishments, successes and economic contributions through our Small Business Awards programs. 94% of Chamber members are considered small, having less than 100 employees, and are deserving of these prestigious awards.
