Small Business of the Month: Atlas Industrial Outsourcing

Congratulations to the Mobile Chamber April Small Business of the Month: Atlas Industrial Outsourcing.

Founded in 2017, Atlas Industrial Outsourcing is an NCCER-certified Accredited Training Sponsor. This local company recruits, trains and outsources industrial cleaning technicians.

The workers outsourced by Atlas support companies that maintain advanced manufacturing and power generation facilities all over the country.

Outside of what they do, one of the things that makes Atlas truly standout is the culture within this company.

Atlas Industrial Outsourcing trainingTo put it short, this is a people company at its core. There are four values instilled into each employee:

  • Safety
  • Strong work ethic
  • Professionalism
  • Honesty

“Those aren’t just buzzwords; these are the cornerstones of the Atlas Culture. It is the mission of Atlas Industrial Outsourcing to improve the lives of our employees, enhance the experiences of our customers, and positively impact the communities in which we serve. Always innovating, always improving” said President & Owner, Brandyn Ulmer.

Not only does this company work hard to foster a supportive work environment internally, but this team is also dedicated to making the local community better.

A few ways Atlas works to build up the community include:

  • Ulmer serves on the board of Project THRIVE, an MPD program that is working to turn Mobile into a Trauma-Informed City.
  • Atlas dedicated its Training Facility to the memory of an employee that was killed in a vehicle accident and then donated funds to cover the funeral arrangements.
  • Atlas sponsors the BC Rain Football Program.
  • Atlas is the 2023 title sponsor of the Mobile Chamber’s Military Appreciation Lunch.
  • Atlas employs an 84-year-old custodian who lost his pension. He is kept on salary and works within his ability.

Ulmer is quick to reflect any praise he receives as an individual back onto his team, “Any company is only as good as the team that makes it possible for them to operate.”

He said by receiving Small Business of the Month, “I have something external to show my team that their hard work is being recognized by our community and to show the team working around the country that they are playing for a winning team.”
