SHOP LOCAL – THE ART STORE
THE ART STORE AT THE MOBILE MUSEUM OF ART
Mobile Museum of Art
4850 Museum Dr., Mobile
Museum hours: Tuesday through
Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Art Store at the Mobile Museum of Art specializes in works by local and regional Southeastern artists. The store has works in every medium including painting, drawing, ceramics, glass, jewelry, woodwork and sculptures.
Because of the pandemic, the Art Store now operates 24/7 online with a curated selection of merchandise. “We’ve added curbside pickup for online shoppers,” said Deborah Velders, director of the Mobile Museum of Art. “We also offer local delivery for Mobile County shoppers.”
Velders urges shoppers to make purchases early to make sure your gifts arrive on time, to look for one-of-a-kind items for those on your list who have everything and to avoid buying a gift just to cross a name off your list. “Recipients recognize and appreciate the thought you put into your choices,” she said.
