Twenty miles outside of Mobile, tucked within the 1,500-acre Steelwood community, are The Stewart Lodges in Loxley. Two properties with private guest rooms overlook either a stocked, 200-acre freshwater lake or a top-rated golf course designed by former U.S. Open Champion Jerry Pate. The property has found a niche with corporate retreats and strategic planning meetings. In addition to meeting space, catering and personal chef services, the Stewart Lodges team stands out because they use their expertise to help onsite meetings with everything from program design to marketing to implementation. The Stewart Lodges has been called the “best-kept secret in the South.” President and CEO Jennie Campbell hopes this is “one secret her customers cannot keep.”
