Paris Air Show – Media Advisory

Beginning Sunday, June 14, a delegation from Mobile and Baldwin counties will be in Paris participating in the bi-annual Paris Air Show. If you need assistance booking interview with members of this group (city, county, Chamber, airport authority, USA) while I’m over there, I will be happy to assist. Please note we will be seven hours ahead of CST, and I expect, as was the case last year, that cell phone coverage and Internet service will be spotty, at best. I will do my best to return messages in a timely manner if I don’t pick up.

I will be at the show on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Tuesday we will take the Mobile group to Arkema, who has its headquarters just outside of Paris, and end the day with a Mobile Bay-hosted reception for about 180 aerospace executives. You might remember that earlier this year Arkema announced an expansion. If you need background on this, let me know and I will send it. On Thursday I will likely be the only member of the delegation at the show, as most everyone else will be gone. I believe all of the elected officials in the group fly home on Wednesday.

I have plans to shoot lots of photos and will upload them to a dropbox file for you to use, and I will also update the Chamber’s blog – (under the category Paris Air Show) throughout the trip you can share with your readers. Finally I plan to shoot some (iphone-quality) videos and will upload them too to dropbox and/or email you the link. I leave for Paris tomorrow, Friday, June 12 around 5:30 p.m.

Finally, if you want to follow Twitter throughout the show, the state is using the handle #AirBama, and I have encouraged local attendees to use this as well.
