Economic development plays a huge role in any community, and if the people in charge of that economic development are successful, it shines like a light for those communities with a prospering and thriving economy.
In Mobile, we are lucky to have a strong economic development team along with a great partnership with local government officials and public and private entities, all working together with one common goal – to grow the Mobile area’s economy.
We’ve discussed Team Mobile before in this publication, but in this issue, we take a more in-depth look into what makes a great economic development team. Yes, we may be a bit biased, but the awards and accolades given to the Chamber team, and to Mobile overall, are proof that others agree we have a great team.
This issue also looks at Coast Safe & Lock, a Mobile Chamber member for more than 40 years that is celebrating its 50th anniversary. They were willing to let our editors in to find out the latest in keeping clients’ safe and their plans for the next 50 years.
Lastly, the Chamber will host its Member Appreciation event on April 7. We invite our members to drop by to enjoy a fish fry and live music and allow us to say ‘Thank You’ in person. We hope to see you there.
