Get Active, Don’t Litter and Enjoy Mobile

When we say the Mobile Chamber, some people think downtown Mobile only. When you Google Mobile, Alabama, most of the images that pop up are of downtown. But the Mobile Chamber not only represents downtown but all of Mobile and Mobile County, and businesses in Baldwin, Washington and Clarke counties. We even have members from New Jersey and California.

So, we thought with this issue we would take a look at west Mobile and tell the story of what’s going on in that part of town. So much is happening along with the population growth, and the Mobile County Commission was quick to point out all the work they are doing. Did you know that in the last five years, Mobile County has completed 22 road improvement projects in west Mobile?

In addition to that story, you’ll find lots of business news from across Mobile County including the incredible news from U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby that the Port of Mobile and the Mobile Airport Authority have been awarded much needed funds for improvement projects and more.

Lastly, we look at the efforts from the city and county to clean up the area through recycling and litter patrols. So much is happening in Mobile and the surrounding areas, and we hope you will get out there and get active, recycle, pick up your litter and enjoy all this great area has to offer.
