Bill Sisson, Mobile Area Chamber; Courtney Finegar, FDi magazine; and George Talbot, city of Mobile, met at the Financial Times headquarters in London.










Just in time for the Farnborough Air Show, one of the largest in the world, fDi magazine published its 2016 Aerospace Cities of the Future. In the accompanying article, Aerospace Cities of the Future 2016/17: FDI Strategy, the magazine names Mobile as one of eight cities getting it right when it comes to top-quality education and training programs as well as logistical excellence. The Mobile Area Chamber applied for this designation earlier this year and the article highlights the University of South Alabama and Port of Mobile. You will have to register to see the article, but it gives you free access to up to five stories.

The financial site highlighted Mobile’s low-cost housing options, making the city No. 6 on its list of 20 Great Places to Live for $1,000 a Month. In addition to median rent prices and mortgage payments, the author mentions the city’s museums and kid-friendly parks.
