The Mobile Area Chamber is helping The University of Alabama with getting input to its latest Alabama Business Confidence Index survey. The survey is open until Tuesday, Dec. 15, and will help forecast first quarter 2021 business activity. Find more information and the survey link here.

This week, Gov. Kay Ivey announced she was extending the Safer at Home and mandatory mask orders until Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at 5 p.m. All orders in place remain the same.

The Mobile County Health Department will again offer COVID-19 testing leading up to Christmas. The next “Know B4U Go” event is intended to protect travelers and their families during the holiday season. Scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., tests will be offered at the Keeler Memorial Building (251 N. Bayou St. in Mobile), Eight Mile Health Center (4009 St. Stephens Rd. in Prichard) and Semmes Health Center (3810 Wulff Rd. E.). No appointment necessary.
