Legislative Update: This week marks the one-year anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic shut down. As vaccines are distributed and businesses work to fully reopen, Congress passed a third relief package, injecting $1.9 trillion into the economy. Dubbed the “American Rescue Plan,” the bill includes $25 billion in aid to restaurants and an additional $7.25 billion for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans.  The University of Alabama at GulfQuest will host a virtual career fair on Monday, April 12, from 1 to 5 p.m. The deadline for companies to register for the event designed to keep Alabama college students in the state is Tuesday, April 6.
