Today “smart” technology can connect anything to anything and anything to anyone. Altaworx’s fastest growing business segment – the internet of things (IoT), a term used to describe objects able to collect and exchange data via the Internet – does just that.
With Altaworx’s expertise, school bus drivers can easily log-in their students with RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) attendance-tracking badges or help farmers monitor the health of their horses through specially-designed collars.
The 16-year-old company, founded in 2001, has 12 employees and a network of more than 100 selling partners throughout the U.S. and is heavily concentrated in the Southeast.
With data centers in Atlanta and Dallas, Altaworx backs up its commercial and industrial customers ranging from small businesses to municipalities to universities.
